Inspiron 1150 Power Up [POST] Problem
I have an Inspiron 1150 that is not powering up [at all] and is not even reaching POST.
There is no video or audio.
The only indication of system activity are a series of repeatable LED codes [below] upon depressing the power button:
- AC Adapter only
- Power/Battery LEDs flash together ~ every (5) seconds
- Battery only
- Power/Battery LEDs come on simultaneously [once]
- Battery LED flashes ten times [stops]
- AC Adapter and Battery
- Battery LED comes on for ~ (10) seconds [goes/stays out]
- Power/Battery LEDs flash together ~ every (5) seconds
- Battery only
- Power/Battery LEDs come on simultaneously [once]
- Battery LED flashes ten times [stops]
- AC Adapter and Battery
- Battery LED comes on for ~ (10) seconds [goes/stays out]
Note: The num, cap and scroll lock LEDs never illuminate.
I've tried removing all of the non-essential hardware [below] with the same results.
- RAM
- Optical drive
- Modem
- Hard drive
- Battery
Unfortunately this system is out of warranty... I walked through the online "troubleshooter" and reviewed associated documentation without success.
The AC Adapter LED is green and is sourcing the expected voltage [don't have a spare adapter].
At this point it seems like the laptop has a "serious" problem, but before I give up on it, I wanted to ask the forum if:
1) There is a listing of 1150 LED codes?
2) There is some type of "reset" button on the 1150?
3) If anyone has any additional suggestions?.
Thanks,
