Laptop heating up
I have had my machine XPS 15 for 1.2 years now and for the last 4 months it has started heating at a very fast rate. I bought a cooling pad and it helps a lot but without the cooling pad it starts heating when i run heavy programs like autodesk 3dsmax and maya.
it used to heat up when I played games but now it is getting heated up regularly from the bottom as well. Is it a hard disk problem or a fan problem? What should I do?

could be as simply as cleaning out the dust.
can you feel the fan venting warm/hot air out?
can you hear the fan with no air venting?
very unlikely to have anything to do with HD.
but the heat will not do the HD much good.
