Go to SolutionLatitude E6420: no switchable graphics in Windows XP?
Hello everyone,
The Latitude 6420 I bought a few weeks ago came with Windows 7 Professional preinstalled, with which switchable Intel/Nvidia graphics worked. Now with Windows XP, the device manager only shows the Nvidia adapter, with no trace or the Intel integrated adapter. I'm assuming that means that the machine always operates with dedicated graphics in XP. Is my assumption correct, or am I overlooking something? (I tried installing Intel drivers, but got messages to the effect that the system isn't supported.)
TIA,
Shady

That's correct - XP doesn't support switchable graphics.
