I have an inspioon 7500 that is about 6 years old.  recently, it started locking up about 6 or 7 minutes after I start it up.  I have tried starting it in safe mode, no help.  Tried going back to the last known good configuration, no help.  I even tryed putting an external fan on it thinking it was a thermal problem, no luck. 

 

I have tried running a virus scan on it, but it won't stay running long enough to complete.

 

Any other suggestions?
