Temp sensor out of range
Inspiron 9300
So my son spilled some tea across the top of my laptop. A bit ran down through the keys, but I was able to catch most of it. However, within seconds of the spill, a fan just started racing as if everything was overheating. It's not the cpu fan, nor the video card fan. It's the normal case cooling fan on the upper left side. I immediately shutdown, and let it sit for some time to dry out. When I tried to reboot, the OS took forever to load and the system acted tottally bogged down. I restarted and ran the system diagnostics. Below is the results:
Error Code- 3900:0626
Temp sensor out of range Temp 255°C - Min 10°C Max 100°C
CPU thermistor
Video thermistor
SODIMM thermistor
Also note, the CPU clocked down to 800 MHz instead of 2.0 GHz - super slowed down!
I'm not under warranty, so where should I start my troubleshooting? Can I get a replacement thermistor? Is it built onto the MoBo meaning that the whole MoBo needs to be replaced? What do you all think?
