Would this work on an M2010?

Hello hello!

Some of you may have seen my previous post about the severe graphical glitches I've been seeing with my M2010 and unfortunatly for me, I can not contact dell because the site says my warranty is expire (Yet my dell support program, which I downloaded from dell says it dosen't expire until 2009......quite a hipocracy...dosen't the stuff work all from one darn system?)

But anyways, I've been looking into getting the replacement video card (Mobility Raedon x1800) but i don't want to pay Dell 270$ for a card that has been on market for 2 years! I've found it so far for 90$, but during my search I also found a Nvidia 7900. Now, I've taken a look at the pictures, and even thou dell dosen't offer it as a buyable upgrade, it does look like the 7900 is built exactly like the x1800 and will fit and work in an m2010.

Here are the auctions (to show the pictures)

Nvidia 7900: http://cgi.ebay.com/Nvidia-Geforce-Go-7900-256mb-for-Dell-E1705-9400-DG008_W0QQitemZ110236182249QQihZ001QQcategoryZ74957QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Ati X1800: http://cgi.ebay.com/Dell-Inspiron-XPS-M2010-256MB-ATI-X1800-DG005-JG367_W0QQitemZ190208401299QQihZ009QQcategoryZ74957QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

As you can see, the bottom pin configuration looks identical, as well as the LCD hook up port. You may have a little issue with the heatsink, but that can be moved to fit your needs.

Anyone else have any ideas on this, or any issues that i overlooked on why this would or would not work?

Regards,

Travis.
