2005FPW

Hi,
After reading what others have posted about the 2005FPW I was nervous about the 2005FPW I had just ordered. I was going to be pretty disappointed if it had stuck pixels or a blurry center and bleeding as others had.
 
So it came today and I set it up. All I can say is WOW! what a great screen. It is super bright and very clear. It seems huge compared to the 1901FP I use at work. Absolutely perfect. I will run it for a while to be sure but it looks great.
 
If you are considering this monitor I recommend it. I got mine with my order for 399.00. A bargain considering that Apple charges 1300.00 for the same size.

    Hi, I just got my FPW , however it is a bit too bright to me. Is there any way (3rd party program) to decrease the brightness of it. Physically I reduced it to 0, but still bright. My eyes hurts. Already adjusted Gamma settings at the videocard settings. I am using it via DVI. Please share your thoughts on it.
    It is a good monitor. I think the backlight issue is overreacted. Mine has a few, but only noticeable when nothing on the screen instead of pure black (like the end of slideshow screen in Powerpoint). 1680x1050 seems like very large according to what I expected. I mean the fonts and icons are large. I would go for smaller if I could. (maybe because I came from a 14" 1400x1050 laptop screen, where I had smaller from everything.)

    My Samsung 193p came with a program called Magic Tune, as this monitor itself has no controls, I think its licensed for this Samsung monitor only, but the website list a similar program for sale

    I bought it with a system(8400). It was so good I could not pass it up. I added the 8 yr warranty to the 8400 and the monitor for 85.00. It was definately a good buy.

    hi, i was wondering if this monitor will be ok for gaming or am i going to have trouble with the resolutions???
    will directx 10 graphics cards support this monitor????
