Hi,

I have eMachines E644G laptop (= AMD Radeon HD 6310) attached to a Dell E2014H monitor via HDMI cable and HDMI to DVI-D connector, and it works fine, no problems here.

But I need to rearrange my setup and connect laptop to monitor through HDMI switcher. Not sure about the exact model, it's a VConn 4 to 1 HDMI device with 2K\4K\3D support (identified as SyncMaster B2230H by the system, though no connection to Samsung). Never had a problem with it until now. Upon plugging laptop in it, monitor says "input timing not supported... switch to 1600x900 @ 60Hz", even though it's the very same resolution I've switched it to.

At first, I thought HDMI switcher is the problem, but interestingly enough if I attach HDMI to VGA converter to its output and connect the thing to VGA port of the same monitor it works and outputs native resolution. The image understandably is a bit softer, so I'd like to connect it directly to DVI port. Tried multiple HDMI cables and HDMI-DVI cable but no luck -- it outputs all resolutions, like 1440x900, even some resolutions monitor doesn't suppose to support such as 1920x1080, but NOT its native resolution.
