Enabling dhcp server on N1524 only for a specific VLAN
Hello,
I'm quite new to Dell networking products. I recently installed a N1524 at a customer's office and now he would like to set up a WIFI-guest specific VLAN whoose only purpose is to grant navigation to office guests without letting them interfere with main network.
I have already set up this vlan as no. 99 and it's perfectly separated from the others and navigating. Substantially all physical interfaces are trunked and the vlan tag decides the game. In this picture it will be the access points which will be generating the 99 tag and adhere to that specific vlan.
NOW: I've read about the "service dhcp" and "ip dhcp pool" commands, so I would like to know if I can use them just to make the switch itself become the DHCP server JUST for vlan 99. Should I issue the "ip dhcp pool" command and following config inside the vlan 99 configuration? Or what?
This is not a case of relaying any external DHCP server, I just would like to take advantage of the N1524 characteristics in order to simplify the network.
Thanks for your useful answers.
