Hello. I have an Inspiron 6400 laptop with Windows XP Pro and cannot connect to the local network, and hence, to the internet. The problem appeared after I took the laptop with me on a trip. I don't know if I banged it around too much or maybe changed a setting I shouldn't have. The only pertinent thing I remember doing is that I tried to connect to a wireless network, but failed utterly. So now I'm back home and can't connect to my network (non-wireless), even though the icon on the computer says that it's connected to the network and working fine, so the "repair" function is no help. The other computer connected to the same router does not have the same problem. The laptop can't be reached from the other computer, and vice versa.
