I have a laptop and PC that is getting a wireless signal, but it will not connect to internet. I can hook a ethernet cable and I can get internet. Any Help would be appreciated. Here are the settings:
Becuase you didn't post the full ipconfig output, it is unclear if this is from the problem machine or which network adapter it represents. Whichever one it represents, however, has a problem likely becuase DHCP is set to NO, which means that it will never get an IP address. Please clarify!
Also, I had these two computers up and running last week, but for some reason I develop this problem in both computer. Hope this information is helpful.
Hope this gives you the infomation that will help you figure out what I have done wrong. I have look at other posts and try to use that info to correct my problems.
In the command prompt window, move the mouse to the top so the curser is in the blue area. Right click, choose Edit and then choose - Select All. Right click in the blue area again, choose Edit and then choose Copy. Open a reply to this email. Put the cursor in the area where you would normally type. Right click and select Paste.
When I hit run and put cmd and then put in ipconfig/all, this is all that pops up. I was looking at some other posts and where it says"description" theirs talks about their adapter, I have "WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini PCI Card #2", don't know if that helps any. I have got my settings set on IP automatic and DNS Server on automatic. Thanks again.
You still didn't get the whole thing. What you have posted indicates two problems. First, you need to get rid of IP v6, and second, assuming that what you have posted represents your wireless network adapter (can't be sure until I see the whole thing), you need to set the TCP/IP properties to obtain an IP address automatically. Try one more time to see if you can post the whole output.
Then try running the ipconfig /all command again. This time, you might want to open Notepad, copy the text of the ip command into notepad and then, once you are sure you have the whole thing, copy it out of Notepad and paste it into a reply.
