Laptop - Desktop not Talking
Basically, how do I get my laptop D610 to talk to my desktop? I want to be able to view desktop files from my laptop and download them etc.
I have a wireless network up and running via a Belkin router. Both computers share the same internet connection no problem.
I have run the "set up a small home office network" wizard on both computers, this seems to have run OK. but now... nothing.
I have no idea how to access data etc on the desktop, from my Latitude D610. I should be able to do this now I have a wireless network up and running, shouldn't I?
However, when I click on "view workgroup computers" I receive the error message, "MyHome is not accessible... " (MyHome being the name I gave to the network, when running the wizard).
Frankly, I now no-longer know what to do. Can anyone help? Please?

Many thanks for your help, the links you suggested did help - partially.
I am now up and running with laptop and desktop at last speaking to each other. The problem was with Norton Firewall, which was blocking any inter-network connectivity, making the two computers invisible to each other. I used the Norton Firewall Network Configuration Wizard to allow the two computers to interact - and now they do.
Hope this might help other users in a similar situation.
