I installed all the Windows XP updates onto my mini, including IE 8, and when it was done I couldn't access any web pagesm either using wireless or wired networks. I could still ping successfully so I did have connectivity, but I could not ftp to a valid ftp server. Restoring the old OS fixed the problem, then installing the updates again recreated it. I'm going to reinstall the entire OS and utilities and drivers from scratch, but does anyone know what XP update is killing my network connectivity? If it's IE 8 I can stay with IE 6 or switch to Firefox.
