New Dell 1505 keeps dropping wireless connection
I just got my E1505 and it connected to my D-Link 80211b wireless router right out of the box, but it drops and reaquires the signal about every 15 or 20 seconds, making it impossible to load a Web page completely.
My newly-purchased MacBook doesn't do this and neither does my older Dell desktop -- both have wireless connections to the same router.
It is driving me crazy and is very frustrating to have a new computer and have immediate connection problems.
I took the security off my router before starting up my Dell, just to make sure it will connect. It shows the router with an excellent connection and a signal strength of about 80 percent.. but I keep getting the pop-up windows that say it can't find the connection then it finds it.
I upgraded to a Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/g Mini Card Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/g Mini Card when I purchased the laptop just to make sure I had a reliable wireless connection for the laptop.
Any ideas?
