Still having problems enabling cookies

I am experiencing some difficulties with some websites. When I want to view My Account on Barnes & Nobles the web site reports that I must enable cookies. I have tried the following procedures: Verify that the Date and Time Settings on the System Are Correct

Verify the Cookie Settings in Internet Explorer 6

But when tyrying to rename damaged cookies, than i get a message from windows that cannot find it (run c:\windows\cookies ).

 What can I do?

third party firewall = zone alarm, McAffey or norton internet security, etc.

if no third party firewall then in IE, tools>internet options>privacy>custom I suggest you set it like below.

I have disabled the Mcafee firewall and also tried what you suggested with the advanced privacy setting, but, still experiencing the same problems.
