I have set up my wireless network at home and it works brilliantly.
But I now need to move the network to a small office. The network is only 1 desktop, 2 x wireless dell laptops, and 1 TM 2300 router. The office is the size of large Irish bedroom i.e. v.small.
At the office the network does not connect (or at least very very seldomly does it connect). I must have some heavy interferance ?
In the intel/pro driver utility when I scan for availalbe networks I get one from the office nextdoor and not mine. (The same happens when I look for available wireless conections through the windows utility.)
Things I've tried so far -
I have changed the router channel. (and the laptops to match)
I have set the router to comunicate on my cards signal only ......11b.
I have boosted the laptops cards strength to maximum.
I have switched off the cordless office phone (seemed to make no difference).
I seem to get better connections when laptop is powered by the wall (rather than batteries)
I have set the laptops to connect only to networks for which I have a profile. - this is V. important.

So Can anyone give any extra advice on how to boost the router signal ? please.
Move the router around your facility and see if the signal improves and if it does, I would put an access point on the LAN in that position, or at least a repeater.
The stronger signal will always take over unless you install the Zero Config Utility (KB 815485), and with this applet you can lock all all buy your own signal.
