i want to know some compatible gpus with the dell optiplex 7040 sff, i have looked all over the internet but can only find expensive gpus, i would preferably like some under 100$/£
It just so happens I just answered a very similar question for another Dell user.
Due to the limited 180w PSU, there's only 2 GPU's listed for it (compatible with SFF) on the Optiplex 7040 Spec Sheet: AMD Radeon™ R7 350X, AMD Radeon™ R5 340X. Just be sure it come with short LP (low profile) bracket.
I'm sure it's easy to tell which one is cheaper. I found the R5 430X on Amazon for under $100 USD.
