During a recent move I lost the cords to my Dell 922 printer and an unable to find a place I can order the AC power cable. I have been able to order the other cable (usb) that plugs into the PC. If anyone could point me to where I might be able to find a replacement Power cable that would be great, thanks.
Is it just a power cord or is it a power adapter? As in it converts AC from the wall to either AC or DC at a specific voltage for the printer? Power cords are a dime a dozen if you know where to look, overpriced everywhere else.
More than likely it is the latter and all you will need to know is the voltage and amperage required by the printer and then the type plug that goes into the printer. Radio shack should be able to help you or ebay or any good computer shop. Price wise, ebay is your best bet. If you know someone who plays around with electronic stuff, they might have something that might work. More amperage is ok, more or less voltage is dangerous (over or under 0.1 is ok) less amperage won't work, not enough power to run the printer.
Is that for a power cord or an adapter? I know power cords are cheaper than $5.00, I just looked at some that were $2.49 and I know that there are thousands being thrown away everyday so free ones are out there if you look. Dumpster shopping is not always a dirty job! Lots of people just toss them on the side of the street with their old printers and monitors and computers.
Of course if it's the adapter, you are in the right range and less effort, as long as shipping isn't out of sight.
I will check ebay, the only reason I worried about finding one somewhere other than dell is the fact that they make their accessories fairly proprietary. The box looking part of the adapter that plugs into the printer takes a pretty specific piece. Thanks for the suggestions and help, very much appreciated.
Yeah, that will be a hard to duplicate adapter and you will have to get it from someone with a dead printer or from Dell. There might be a replacement part maker out there as well.
