My company Recently bought these printers, One for Each department. The scanner function was a must have as the we have to produce Digital and hard copy's of all our work frequently, and the idea was to use the "Scan to Computer" functionality to Accomplish that goal. The problem started when the system would not put the permissions we need on the "Shared" folders that had to be set up on each computer, all of the document's that we scan need to be Readable only in the department that scanned the file, system administrators and the printer's, but unless The Anyone permission in sharing is active the Printers cant Scan to the shares we put in place. meanwhile if Anyone is active then EVERYONE can view the scans. that doesn't work in our business environment and our attempts to put the printers in a work group that has full permissions has failed rather miserably. Dose anyone have a solution? i was on with dell chat for 3 hours and got Nowhere.
