Roxio MyDVD Express 10.3 and Windows7

I have a brand new Insprion 1545 with the 64bit Windows 7.  I purchased the extra Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning version 10.3.  I have been trying to use the MyDVD Express application to create DVD menus.  However, when I go to add a video it gives me the following error:

The file you are trying to use cannot be edited, and has not been added.

I have tried adding videos that I have created with Windows Live Movie Maker as well as videos that came in the Sample Videos folder on the computer.  Nothing seems to work.
