I'm not much of a Dell fan anymore. Spent $1000 for something that only works for 18 months!

No turn on can be many things. loose unseated boards. open board level part. fuse blown(yes these all have fuses buried on the power supply board. fuses blown almost always means shorted component like capacitor etc) fuses blow for a reason. Taking it all apart and looking rarely reveals things but worth a look since few options exist for repair. problem is that burnt component maybe caused by other components that arent physically damaged. Real problem is that dell doesnt give out of warranty assistance or parts at all to my knowledge. Dell how about releasing schematics, part numbers for boards and price lists to individuals. especially dlp main boards. Maybe Jimmy P can clue us in on if these things are even possible for individuals who spent good money for a projector that now has more in common with a brick. Sending a projector to dell from what ive heard usually results in a repair price that exceeds its street value so your basically skee-rued

MercatorCat, did the repair end up solving the problem.  I have the identical issue with my 2300, came in one sunday and would not show any power, tried it in different outlet, same results.  What did the end diagnosis reveal?  Is it a bad power supply, blown fuse, bad capacitor on mother board?

Same thing here. Sounds like a serious flaw in the 2300MP. I'm sending mine to AvalonTC. I'll post the results for sure. Feel free to remind me if you don't hear in 3 weeks (with shipping time).
