Erasure cryptographic

I did a erasure cryptographic of disks to format all the data

But after that i cant see the diks.

How can make to recover the disks?

Hi,

If you have performed an erasure cryptographic operation on your disks, it's important to note that this process typically results in the complete wiping of the data on the disks, including any partition tables and filesystem metadata. Here are some steps you can take to attempt to recover the disks for use:

  1. Check Disk Recognition:

    • Ensure that the disks are physically connected properly. Check all cables and connections.
    • Access the RAID controller or storage management utility to see if the disks are recognized.
  2. Reconfigure RAID Arrays (if applicable):

    • If your disks were part of a RAID array, you might need to reconfigure the RAID settings in the RAID controller’s management interface.
    • Look for options to create a new RAID array or add the disks back to the existing configuration.
  3. Initialize the Disks:

    • If the disks are recognized but uninitialized, you may need to initialize them. This can often be done through the operating system’s disk management tools.
    • For Windows, you can use Disk Management; for Linux, you can use commands like fdisk or parted.
  4. Partitions and File System:

    • After initialization, you may need to create partitions and format the disks with a filesystem (e.g., NTFS for Windows or ext4 for Linux).
    • Use appropriate tools to create a new partition table and format the partitions.
  5. Firmware Check:

    • Ensure that your firmware for the RAID controller and disks is up-to-date, as outdated firmware might hinder recognition or configuration.
  6. Consult Documentation:

    • Check the documentation for your specific PowerEdge model and RAID controller for any specific instructions regarding disk setup after a cryptographic erase.
  7. Professional Data Recovery (if needed):

    • If the data on the disks was critical and needs recovery, consider reaching out to a professional data recovery service. They can often recover data from disks that have been formatted, though results may vary.

If you follow these steps and are still experiencing issues, providing more specific details about your hardware configuration and any error messages you receive can help in diagnosing the issue further.
