screen dimming
I just recieved my venue 11pro 5130 and the screen keeps dimming to the point that i can't hardly read anything on it. I have updated the video driver,it gets bright for a short time and then dims again.Is there anything else I can do!:emotion-18:

Folks, if your tablets are like my Venue 8 Pro, look at the settings for the ambient light sensor. It can be a little overenthusiastic in the pursuit of extending the battery time.
Control Panel - Power Options - Dell (probably already selected) - Change plan settings
On the next screen, Change advanced power settings
Scroll down and expand Display
Find "Enable Adaptive Brightness." I have mine set to OFF for plugged in and ON for battery.
After you click Save Changes, go back to the first screen and move the Screen Brightness slider at the bottom. It seems to tweak, or maybe bias, the adaptive brightness a little. I finally messed with it until I had something I could live with.
You certainly shouldn't have to put up with dim screens on THESE great displays that Dell provides.

noticed the same thing with my new tablet too, it is quite annoying.
