VNX setup page session timeout

Hi!

I'm new at VNX storage, so i hope it's not too stupid of a question to ask. :-)

I'm trying to access the setup page of my VNX so i can put in an SSL certificate. I learned how to do this at the VNX Block training.

At my company, however, i'm getting the following error when i go to https://vnx1-cs0/setup:

-----------------------

Session timeout. Relogin and try this operation again.

Note: If you received this message while attempting to access the online help files and you originally connected to this system using a hostname, please reconnect using an IP address.

-----------------------

I also tried using a different IP-adress. I tried using different browsers (IE 9 / Firefox 9). But no luck so far.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

Martijn.

Thanks. But i already tried using the bare IP-adresses. Exactly the same response.

It's not workstation-specific either. My colleague has the same problem.

I'll look into the nas_ca_certificate commands, but i do think that page should work. :-)

    Hi,

You have to try /setup page using SP IP addresses for managing SSL/TLS certificates. For Control station certifications you may telnet to Control Station IP and use nas_ca_certificate commands.

If you are entering simply the IP address of CS, you will get the Unisphere Manager opened (If it is not happening, just confirm the CS is accessible over network by pinging etc..). As per my understanding the /setup page is applicable for storage processors. Try entering Storage Processor -A IP address/setup page, you will get the options for managing SSL certificates for Storage processors.

Indeed, apparently i have to connect to the SP IP-adresses, not the CS ones.

    I wasn't aware those were separate IP-adresses.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
