Explorer Error HELP

i have the following error when trying to open either My Documents or My Computer (or anything related to these for that matter)

Explorer has caused an error in unknown.

Explorer will now close.

If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your comptuer.

I also get the above mentioned error substituted with KERNEL32.DLL instead of unknown.

I have a Dimension 4300, PLEASE HELP

You need to run a complete virus scan with up to date definitions, as well as a check for spyware/malware, using a utility such as AdAware and/or Spybot Search and Destroy (or both). If those scans are nil, post back and we'll go from there.
