How do I restore my computer?
Dear all,
I just bought a Dell Dimension 9100 this summer and had restored it several times. But now, the blue bar doesn't appear anymore and I don't know how to restore it now. I don't have a Windows XP CD. What should I do?

HOW DO I request an XP reinstallation CD from Dell? I have read the link, but I am still quite confused???
I have tried System Resotre by Windows XP but the effect is just making my computer more unstable!!

Request an XP reinstallation CD from Dell (see this) which you can use to reinstall XP.
If System Restore is not working, you can return your system to "as shipped" condition using the procedure here.
To repair System Restore disable it (Start|Control Panel|System|System Restore tab) and reboot your system then go back and enable it again. You will lose all your current (inoperable) restore points.

I'm not an expert but I have had to do this many times. Have you tried the sytems tools System Restore. It restores it to an earlier point
