Sending e-mail from Microsoft works word processor

On his other computer, my husband sends articles to his magazine right form Word, clicking the send e-mail box.  In Works word processor in Vista n the laptop, this is not possible.  It will only send e-mail as an attachment and the recipieint cannot open an attachment.   Is there any way to send as straight e-mail, not an attachment. Can the extetions be changed from .wps to make it more compatible?  Thanks

    peggylenox,

To convert Works to Word, you need to use a converter. I really don't like using Works bacause of this. I use Open Office and save the documents as .doc and Spreadsheets as .xls and it works great. I can send documents to work, which uses Microsoft Word and I can also send the documents home to work on. I would migrate away from Works and use Open Office, which is FREE!
