Service packs for what Office or an Operating System?

I am using XP, SP2 and office 2007. Can I use office 2007 on vista with SP1?

Yes, you can use Office 2007 in WinXP.

Thanks for teh update, I am aware of that. In fact I have already done that. What I am asking is

the difference between SP1 and SP2. The laptop I have has SP2. I am looking at laptops with SP1. Will Office 2007 work on that.

Your posts are somewhat confusing, some mention XP,  SP2, or SP1, another mentions Vista SP1. So when you just say 'SP1' it is not clear whether you mean XP SP1 or Vista SP1.

 

In any case Office 2007 should run in either XP (I suggest you update that to XP SP3, which you can do with or without SP1 or SP2 installed) or Vista or Vista SP1.
