Software Installation Problems
Could someone please help me to understand what's going on? I've been trying to install Registry Mechanic and it installs but it freezes up when it comes to the logo screen and from there it does nothing. The program never opens up. Today just by accident I tried to open the program in another account on my computer and oddly enough it opened but said that I couldn't perform a scan because someone else was using it. No one else was using Registry Mechanic but me. I closed out of my administration account in order to go into as I said another account. Is this a Windows Vista problem and if so is there anyway I can correct it? Thank you in adv.

- Yes Dave, I'm using the Reg Mech. 6.0. At one time I did install the wrong one but this is the right one. I even use Spyware Doctor which is by the same vendor, (pctools) and it works great. This is the only piece of software that I haven't been able to install. I've even tried running it as the administrator in which I am but sometimes when you check this off in the properties of your software it works with Vista better. I wonder if this could be a security issue?
