Unable to locate wireless networks

Hi,

I was unsure whether to put this in laptops or vista - but have decided on vista.

I have a dell inspiron 1720 that runs vista, and am having major issues finding wireless networks. I'm pretty sure that the problem is vista, as the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility does register networks no problem. But I can't connect to them through vista's software. Has anyone got any ideas - I'm very frustrated by this at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Dave.

Do you have a wireless network card installed in your laptop?

Yeah I have - I've been able to connect to wireless networks in the past but it hasn't always been reliable (sometimes vista finds them, sometimes it doesn't.But even when vista doesn't, the dell wireless card utility always shows that the network is there and broadcasting)

Did you try reinstalling Vista? Sometimes it doesn't install right the first time!

run an ipconfig /all from the cmd and post the results here

    start >run> cmd
