Hello there. We use a Dell 4550 desktop with windows xp installed including sp2 and all updates. The system has been a little buggy lately and would like to do a clean reinstall of the os. After running adaware,spybot and anti virus protection repeatedly, some malicious files continue to return.We have saved to cd all the files and folders we want kept.
After loading the reinstall cd it says we can't reinstall because the os on the computer is a more recent version than the disc. The reinstall cd is for sp1. Is there any work arounds for this particular step? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
