Vista 64, Deactivating Paging File

Ok...

I'm about to take the plunge into the world of Vista Ultimate 64.

I've cloned my present OS and stored the copy away, have 4 sticks of 2GB RAM ready to go, and all drivers on disk.  The hard part is going to be getting a block of time with two kids running around and a honey-do list longer than a kite string on a stormy day...

Quick question for the group.  Has anyone tried deactivating their Paging File (as per Tom's Hardware)?  And if so what were your results? I'll likely give this a try since I'll have the RAM to back up this move, but I would be interested in hearing from anyone who's tried this, and what their results were.  Any crashes?  Performance improvements? Tips?

BTW... Can't wait to see the new WD Velociraptor in action (this HDD is a BEAST!).

Trying to stow away a few $$ for the release in mid May.  Bye bye stimulus check!

TIA!
