Dell has a free upgrade for those who purchased a new laptop but they ask you to pay for shipping and handling. I wanted to know the total of the shipping and handling

The best price I found was on buy.com - I got mine for $123.00. That was after a $30.00 instant rebate for applying for a buy.com chase visa.

DellVistaUpgrade in the US costs about $10 USD for s&h if you have:

XP media center --- Upgrade to Vista Home Premium

XP Professional --- Upgrade to Vista Business

If you have XP Home I really don't know.. it's supposed to be 50% off form the retail price...

I'm in México and have the XP media center i had to pay about $25 USd ($260 Mex Pesos) for just shipping and handling.. so the 10 dollar price doesn't apply everywhere...

From Windows Xp Home To Vista Basic its around £45 then an extra £10-£11 for S&H.

Other editions free you just pay £11 S&H
