My laptop under WindowsXP hangs in the operation of shutting down, after logging out successfully.

This happens systematically if during the session I've been connected to the internet (through a dial-up connection). If I do not connect to the internet, Windows XP shuts down normally.

I would strongly appreciate if someone can help me to solve this. Thanks a lot in advance.

PS- I've a brand new laptop Dell Inspiron 5150, with only originally installed software...
