m18 R1 AMD, why only 3 SSD slots?

I am very confused about why Alienware m18 R1 AMD only has 3 SSD slots. Its Intel counterpart has 4. It makes me wondering whether I'm paying 3799 to buy a "less premium" laptop with intentional degradation. I want to ask if there's any good reason about why Alienware made that decision?

@Singing Bird I've had a response from Alienware. The different configs use completely different motherboard designs. The design of the 4080/4090 board with Intel CPU allows the room for the additional two 2230 SSD slots. The design of the AMD board with these same GPU's only allows room for one additional 2230 slot.

It's all about how they could design the boards around the hardware.

Also, the speaker on M series is terrible, but on X series the speaker is said to be fairly good. I'm wondering how Alienware came to the decision that their most powerful laptop doesn't need to be equipped with proper speakers.

The AMD model is sold at a lower price, so the features are determined by that.

I've heard great things about the speakers on the m18 but I agree that it's a shame that they didn't put a few more inside, especially a subwoofer like the old M18x had.

The x series is designed to have more features than the m series, which includes a better speaker setup. I believe the x16 had a 6 speaker system which is pretty impressive. The m series is designed around performance but misses out on a few other features.
