I can't find any info on what tier of Virtustream should be used for CloudBoost; I'm thinking it should be regional infrequent access but I'm not sure, can anyone help?
That's more a personal choice question of what your retention time is and how much redundancy you want as opposed to something CloudBoost specific. I can say that based on the data patterns of CloudBoost and the cost of ingest versus storage the breakeven point on IA is in the 6-12 month range. Anything less than that and STD is a bit cheaper. So if you are using it for true LTR then definitely IA if the use case is more oriented towards having an off-site copy with medium retention then its not worth it.
