Dell wireless keyboard "calculator" button generates two instances of calulator program. why?

Subject says it all.  It used to cause only one instance to appear.  Why two now, and how can I fix it?  I am running XP professional.  Thanks.

Try removing and reinstalling the Delltouch software. Also, open the Delltouch control panel and ensure that the keyboard is programmed normally (if applicable).

Not sure about this "DellTouch" software.  I have no such control panel nor do I see any apps under the program files.  My computer (8300) came with the Dell wireless keyboard (model R17D40) and optical mouse.  Either Dell didn't install it or you are thinking of another keyboard.  Any idea which of the zillions of CDs that came with the machine that it might be on?

You are correct, only the Audio Key software is needed for the "Audio" hot button on the right side of the keyboard. This wireless keyboard/mouse combination should be recognized natively by Windows XP.

Try replacing the batteries in your keyboard with a fresh pair, and then re-synchronizing both your keyboard and mouse with the receiver unit. Unplug and replug the receiver unit to ensure a solid connection to the USB port on the tower.
