Would you be able to share some screenshots of the adaptive option you have? Optimizer should have either a Dynamic or Intelligent Extender option. I see our latest version is also 6.3.4.0. What model of Inspiron do you have exactly as well? There may be a BIOS charge limit option instead. I'd recommend updating your BIOS to the latest available version too. 

Thanks. Let me start by saying I was able to go into the BIOS at boot and the options are available there so I was able to change it. However, updating to 6.3 did not fix the UI missing (I should point out that the Dell updated did not automatically update the software, I had to go to the link you shared to manually download).   Essentially both Power & Battery and Thermal Management both show the exact same screen when I access them with o nly the option to change the cooling fan behavior.  See screenshots.

@JAIMECLT​ So you don't have any additional battery options below the thermal management settings? Per the user guide, the dynamic and intelligent charge options should be listed on this Power & Battery page.

Whats the exact model of Inspiron that you have as well? I doubt its a model specific issue, but would be good to know. 

@DELL-Daniel V​ correct, completely missing from the UI. Nothing showing up scrolling at the bottom.  Device is "Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1".  It's about 1.5 years old and running the Pro version of Windows 11.

Update:  I updated the bios from 1.16.1 to 1.20.1 but the app behavior did not change.

@JAIMECLT​ If you were able to adjust the settings via the BIOS, then I suppose that'll be the workaround. As the app and BIOS have been updated, that may be the extent of troubleshooting that. Only other thing would be to check the Dell Tech Service in the FAQ. I'm not seeing any issues with the Optimizer app on our end so for the time being I'd have to recommend contacting Support to try to look into the issue individually. Should additional users end up reporting the same missing settings here, then we can look into escalating the issue further.

Share the private Service Tag with them so that they can verify the ownership and warranty status. This will also generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag. 

@DELL-Daniel V​ Thanks. I did try as a l ast attempt to remove all Dell software components and re-installing new downloads which was successful but the same problem of the missing controls persists.  I will update here if anything changes.

I have a DC16256 and have a same problem.  I updated to the latest bios 1.10.0 and the latest Dell Optimizer 6.3.3.  In my the the optimizer shows thermal management controls for both the battery threshold and the thermals.  The older program Dell Power Manager will not work with Optimizer and will set battery threshold to default.   DPM was automatically uninstalled with the latest Optimizer version.

I wonder if Optimizer was uninstalled if DPM would work ? The two programs are in conflict.

I seem recall there was a later version DPM that would work, but was renamed.

@edge10​ DPM was retired and replaced by Dell Optimizer. You could try to uninstall DO and just use DPM, but I'm not certain if that will allow you to use the custom battery thresholds. This has been present in our models for some time now, but the custom thresholds would now be intended to be set in the BIOS for the units with that supported option. Otherwise DO would be used for automatic battery management. 

I there any plan to update DO to include the battery thresholds? It looks like was intended to have this function, since the panel below it has repeat display of the thermals. 

Can you clarify if there is a BiOS setting that allows DO to optimize battery thresholds or just change the battery thresholds to a set value ?

Just changing battery threshold in BIOS is not very practical as sometimes you would want  to switch between thresholds depending upon the usage.  For instance DPM had a function to allow 100 % during certain days  or time you want full battery and then revert back to 80%.
