can any one explain me how does file locking work on isilon

The files are used by IBM MQ process to provide high availability. At the moment IBM claimed there is some issue for the locking mechanism and we want to know how processes lock the files on Isilon

There are two processes one is from server1, another is from server2 trying to gain lock on the following files

\\isilon\MQM\TST\data\test\master
\\isilon\MQM\TST\data\test\active
\\isilon\MQM\TST\data\test\standby

customer is expecting  first two files locked by server1 while the last one locked by server2
