https://www.dell.com/ system configuraton
This question really applies to all computers: desktops, laptops, servers.
On https://www.dell.com/ there used to be a link for system configuration, You could get the original system configuration and there was also the option to get the current configuration.
This option is now gone. Does anyone know why this was taken away? Is there another link to get this information?

The page has been changed but the information is still there. Enter your service tag on the support page. To the right under Quick Links click on view product specs. That will bring you to the system configuration page and the headings are original configuration and current configuration. Click on any one of those for the information you are looking for.
