Dell computers that come with Linux include the Open Office productivity suite. If you'd like to use a database to catalog the books, use Open Office Base. If you'd prefer to store the catalog in a simple spreadsheet, use Open Office Calc.
Open Office is not a Dell product, so you'll have better luck getting support directly from the various O.O. support
resources.
