Motherboard/Power Supply Question.
The Power Supply on this system is a 145Watt. It is way too small for what I use my system for, therefore it turns off whenever I it wants to (usually when I am working on something important).
I am going to buy a bigger case with a 425Watt power supply. The Dell motherboard has 2 power connectors. There is a big plug, and a small plug ( I assume the big one is an ATX connection, and the small one is an AT connection).
All power supplys I see (besides DELL) are either the big ATX connection, or the 2 small AT connections. What will happen if I just plug in the new power supply into the big ATX plugin on the motherboard? Will this work? I am very tired of my computer turning off all the time. No, power supply has been replaced, and the hard drive has been replaced, and this is also a replacement computer.
