What exactly did you down load, the dc120.dll file or the driver11.cab file (the dc120.dll is the actual dll, the driver11.cab is a 'cabinet' file inside which the dll may be located)?

Also, when you get the message that the Sony camera needs the dll does it tell you the path where it expects the dll to be located (i.e., in the 'Windows/System' folder, or some folder or sub-folder under the rest of the software for the camera?

Hello again,

You should copy this file into your C:/Windows/Systems32/ directory. Then try to run the camera's software once again. If it won't work, add this file to your C:/Windows/ directory, try to run the camera again. If it won't work, copy this file into the directory where you installed the camera's software. This will do the trick.

Pechersk was good enough to me me a sight http??drd.dyndns.org/dll/win98se/_index.html. I downloaded dc120.dll to a floppy disk. Afterwards I tried to download off the floppy and the "open with" box popped up. I tried to open with various programs and nothing would open it. (still cluless with the "open with thing". So I tried to down load it directly to the hard drive .. again "open with " box popped up. So I closed the box and I guess my dc120.dll went to Laa Laa land because it sure doesn't come up on hd (tried find..no avail)So how do I get this .dll onto my h/d??

Still a novice and totally clueless in case you don't already know.

The Sony camera told me to find the .dll on my windows98 cd. But my windows 98 cd said it wasn't there. Can't find the thing anywhere except where Pechersk told me to find it. Not sure what to do when I do find it.
