Physical ram
I have a dem 8100 1.8 gig/256 meg sys with win m/e op sys. It shipped with 32% available sys resources causing a host of problems. www. pacs-portal is a great tool for sorting out msconfig. Now with 82% sys resources all is well with windows but....
This system is still slower than the 750 mhz/256 system I have running beside it. The Dell system config printout shows 255 MB physical memory with 23 meg available.
It also shows 2048 total virtual mem with 1674 available. I assume this means my system was using 374 meg vmemory at the time of this printout.
OK question I have is, Is the physical 255 meg with 23 available normal? If no what can I do, if yes where else can I look to boost performance. I use corel draw and need the speed.
