You said to reformat the 8600 HD to put the Windows XP disc in CD drive and boot up with F12 to get setup screen.

Nowhere does it mention format C drive; I have gone through each menu choice and got to point where XP started installing; so, I cancelled the installation.

Where in Setup can one get to the format C drive choice?

I decided to reformat because McAffee Security package is giving me headaches - I can't completely uninstall it nor can I reinstall it - the installation off CD keeps freezing up at one point.

This is one reason why I want to reformat whole drive and perhaps try Norton Internet Security instead - just don't want to leave stray McAffee stuff on the drive.

Even if you know how to fix this problem, I would mainly like question about format C whereabouts answered primarily.
