I have an Inspiron 5000 laptop with Win98 that has been idle for over a year.  Started this a.m. and had two problems.  One is that video does not start everytime.  Have to restart a few times before display will work.  But second is that certain keyboard keys will not function.  All are in the same row.  A,S,D,F,J,K,L,enter.  G,H do work.  The Enter key is a real handicap.  Although storage has been in a non-smoking office and in a briefcase, I suspect dampness while idle may be a contributor but I am looking for any other ideas.  I've cleaned the keys by simply removing plastic and blowing connections.  But nothing seems to help.  Is there a better way of determining what is wrong?  Driver says it is okay.
