I have an Inspiron 5100 that the hard drive crashed. The machine began giving the PXE-E61; media test failure, operating system not found... Replaced hard drive... Problem is I can't get to the BIOS... I start the machine, try the F2 and the machine goes to the password input screen (I had it turned on). I input the password and go to the startup screen. Tried F12, tried del key... I know the right password... How can I get around it? I took the machine apart and checked for loose wires, etc... I realize it is trying to boot from the NET but I can't get into the BIOS to change to default... I AM AT A LOSS!
