greetings.  long time lurker - first time poster.  i have a BRAND new inspiron 8600.  my pcmcia slot (i have only one) doesnt recognize when cards are inserted.  i recently purchased a 5 in 1 memory card reader.  when inserted the computer does NOTHING.  no beeps, no lights flicker, no new drive in "my computer".  i upgraded to win XP Pro SP1 - and still nothing.  the card says no drivers are required for XP.  should i join the "my dell cardbus is useless" club and except the fact that it will never work?  or am i missing something?
