Remove Network Password

I have had a computer donated to me for charity work, there is a user name and password required to get onto the machine.  How do I remove the user name and passcode?

Thanks, that is what I was thinking.  I do not have the disk to re-install. How do I get one?

Is this a Windows user name and password or one that will not even let you get into Windows?

I suspect that it's a window password as opposed to a bios password.
if my assumption is correct then a fresh reinstall will solve your problems if you can't aquire the necessary username & password.

Does Windows load and then you see the request for user name and password or do you just get a black and white screen asking for the info?

Any chance you can contact the donor to get the info you need? Is there a Windows Certificate of Authenticity sticker on the bottom of the laptop? If so, what version?
