My office recently acquired new computers, and instead of a desktop, I now have a laptop (a Dell Latitude 3540). I like the added options I have with a laptop; however, most of the time, it will be sitting on my desk being used like a desktop. (It is also connected to an exterior monitor, keyboard, and mouse, just like a desktop.) So, my questions are these: 

• Can I leave it plugged in?
• Can I leave it turned on? (If not, how often should it be shut down?)
• If either of the previous answers is "yes", what should my power settings look like? 

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
